High-Intensity
Lighting is vital to
the health of a marine aquarium, especially for photosynthetic
anemones, corals and other invertabrates.
Our standard systems come equipped with VHO flourescent
lighting, with a minimum output of 220 watts (2 bulbs) or
440 watts (4 bulbs), using IceCap electronic
ballasts.
Optional (but highly recommended) is metal halide lighting.
The “look” of metal halide is very close to the
natural reef. This sinple-point, very intense light source
produces similar refractions in the water as the sun does
in the tropics. Very cool... Wattages vary depending on system
size. |
